Capilano Community League implemented mandatory third party liability insurance earlier this year. The policy is meant to protect the renter, and the community league from claims during functions. Organizations, including sports clubs, and companies typically have insurance and should be able to provide proof of insurance, as should catering companies. Individual renters may be able to provide insurance confirmation through their homeowner's policy. When these options are not available, coverage must be secured. The Edmonton Community League Short term rental program is an easy option to gain this important coverage. The rates are very economical and have been recently reduced.
