MESSAGE FROM THE LEAGUE

Hello to all Capilano residents!  If you are reading this article, you must be interested in what's going on in your community and surrounding area. You came to the right place.  The Southeast Voice is a great source of information, but there is an even better way to find out what is happening. Get involved with your community league.  First-hand knowledge! We are a small, dedicated group of volunteers that consider community service one of our core values.   There are many tangible benefits to our families, friends, and neighbours that we realize through our efforts.   We can also improve our personal skills and abilities through volunteer work, and we have a lot of fun at the same time.

Current operational position vacancies are Program Coordinator and Web Content Manager.
There is no time like the present.   We have recently finished major upgrades of our facilities, with some follow up work yet to get started. Projects that we would like to begin soon include deck repairs, window
replacement, and a security system.  A new Playground Committee Leader is also needed.

Do you see a void in the services offered by your community league?  How about leading or participating in one of the facility projects?  Consider stepping forward.  All ideas are welcome; you can participate as a group or family in any aspect of the league operations and/or projects.  There are also plenty of veteran league members to assist you in getting started and providing guidance along the way. If you want further information or would like to get involved, give me a call or drop me an e-mail.
