User Group Insurance

Capilano Community League implemented mandatory third party liability insurance earlier this year.  The policy is meant to protect the renter, and the community league from claims during functions.
Organizations, including sports clubs, and companies typically have insurance and should be able to provide proof of insurance, as should catering companies.  Individual renters may be able to provide insurance confirmation through their homeowner’s policy.
When these options are not available, coverage must be secured.

The Edmonton Community League Short term rental program is an easy option to gain this important coverage.   The rates are very economical and have been recently reduced.  For more information contact Foster Park Baskett Insurance or visit www.efcl.org for an application.

Capilano Tennis Club

Capilano Community League Tennis

The Capilano Tennis Club, located next to the Capilano Community League hall at 10810 – 54 Street, provides opportunities to play both social and competitive tennis.

We have four (4) outdoor courts (with lights and a well-equipped, modern clubhouse).  Our formal program runs from May through August each year, although the courts are generally available for use from April through October.

From May through August, a qualified tennis instructor (‘pro’) is at the courts between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. weeknights and Sundays.  The pro offers tennis camps for junior players and lessons for players of all ages at very reasonable rates, as well as providing some free clinics for members.  Members are also eligible for discounts on group and individual lessons.

The club offers organized activities throughout the summer tennis season, including fun tournaments, Tennis Alberta sanctioned tournaments, the opportunity to play on interclub teams, morning seniors’ fun tennis and a weekly Club Night drop in, in addition to hosting social events like the monthly ‘Margarita Monday’ and a year-end barbecue.
